All on 4 FAQ's

What are the benefits of All on 4™ versus traditional dental implants?

The main benefit of All on 4™ for patients is the drastically reduced procedure times and corresponding reduced costs. Getting teeth via traditional dental implants generally takes 6 months to a year. With All on 4™ we can provide a client with a full set of new teeth 24 or 48 hours.

How long will the procedure take?

The surgical procedure generally takes from 2 hours for a single arch and up to 4 or 5 hours for top and bottom arches. Another couple of hours is required the following day when we’re making the bridges.

Is there any interesting history to the procedure?

The first case was done in 1993 and at the time, it was a huge leap forward for what could be provided for the patients. The fact that Professor Malo designed the implants himself, the same ones that we still use, is quite unique

What drew you to the All on 4™ system as a treatment option for patients?

It was the reduced treatment time. Historically, for a patient it could take anywhere between 6 months and 12 months to have the implant treatment done, depending on grafting requirements. With All on 4™ protocols we can routinely finish the procedure in 2 days. For people who found that time barrier a problem, now going towards treatment which is really attractive.

It is also fantastic seeing the change in the quality of life All on 4™ provides for patients, and being a part of that process.

Is the All on 4™ system for everyone?

All on 4 is for most people. There are some risk categories such as heavy smokers, people with uncontrolled diabetes, or lack of ability to keep things clean. Poor oral hygiene can affect the procedure but apart from those risk categories, most people can receive the treatment.
