Orthodontics

If you're looking to improve your smile due to having crooked, gappy or misshapen teeth then orthodontics may be the answer for you. Orthodontics is a field of dentistry concerned with the alignment of teeth. The purpose of orthodontics is to correct misaligned teeth for structural and aesthetic reasons.

Many adults opt for orthodontic treatment to create a straight smile or to reduce health risks. Whatever the reason may be, orthodontic treatment is for almost anyone.

Why Would I Need Orthodontic Treatment?

If you're at all self conscious about your smile, you have difficulty eating or experience any sort of discomfort caused by your teeth structure, orthodontics could be a great solution for you. Orthodontic treatments gradually move your teeth over time, forcing them into a desired position. Commonly, orthodontics are used to treat teeth that are overcrowded, have wide gaps, overbites, underbites and cross bites. It is a very common treatment and can take anywhere between 6 months and 3 years to see final results.

Orthodontic treatments are not just for aesthetic purposes. For many people, structurally misaligned teeth can cause other health risks. Having crooked teeth or wide gaps can make it difficult to properly clean teeth which can lead to further long term damage.

What Type Of Orthodontics Do We Offer?

Braces

Braces are the more traditional orthodontic option and are used to realign your teeth into their desired position. The time people need to wear braces varies greatly, depending on the severity of the changes they need to undergo. Some people can have their braces off in 9 months while others may have them for three years or more.

Clear AlignersInvisalign Method

Clear aligners correct the alignment of teeth by using a series of clear custom-made mouth guard type aligners. These aligners are changed every 2 weeks or so as your teeth move. Each aligner is unique and designed to gradually move your teeth into their desired position.

We are one of the few practices that has an intra oral scanner and 3d printer to manufacture aligners in house. This results in a lower cost and allows us to have more control over the process.
